Quilt Patch Series


Annapolis Quilt Patch

Water and sailing are symbolized in the Annapolis patch. Annapolis is the charming capital of Maryland. This patch is stitched on #18 mono Canvas, French Blue or Davos using Floss, Impressions,Patina, Splendor and Watercolors.



Arkansas Quilt Patch

Arkansas uses 8 different stitches and 6 different threads. These include Encore, Matte 18, Pebbly Perle, Rainbow Linen and Splendor along with metallics. This design is stitched on #18 Mono French Blue canvas and is a good advanced project for beginners or intermeediate level stitchers. Four color ways are given.



Boston Quilt Patch

The Boston Quilt Patch is #10 in the original 13 colony series. Boston represents the state of Massachusetts. This patch uses Thread Gatherers Silk N'Colors, Needle Necessities overdyed Kreinik Metallic, Rainbow Gallery's Splendor and Elegance. Five different stitches are used, including couching, sprats head and Twisted Cord. Students learn a diversity of techniques. One additional color combination is given in the chart pack.



Connecticut Quilt Patch

The Connecticut Quilt Patch is an interesting design taken from the Connecticut Yankee Quilt Patch. This patch uses Carron Collection threads, Watercolors, Impressions and Soie Cristale. The Triangle Amadeus is stitched on top and is a challenge for stitchers. Each of the blocks is a different stitch incorporating two different threads. Connecticut is stitched on #18 Eggshell canvas and is part of the continuing quilt series of the original 13 states. Two colors ways are given on this pattern.



Delaware Quilt Patch

This quilt patch is done on #18 sage green canvas and uses Splendor, Patina, Flair, Impressions, Watercolors, Perle cotton and floss. It is the same size as the other quilt patches thus you can coordinate the colors to go with other quilt patches, enabling the stitcher to do a series.



Nevada Quilt Patch

An intriguing needlepoint design taken from the quilt patch of the same name. The unusual design incorporates beads, Jessicas, Bargello and spiders web stitches. Four different color ways are given on the pattern, each uses a different color #18 mono canvas. Some of the threads used are Bravo, Patina, Splendor, Rainbow Linen and blending filament.



New Hampshire Quilt Patch

This quilt block is stitched in # 18 rose blush mono canvas. Threads used are Floss, Overdyed floss, Elegance, Splendor, and Petite Very Velvet. Mill Hill Beads are also used. Stitches are leaf, rounded wheat stitch, elongated cross, knotted stitch, T stitch and couching. New Hampshire quilt block is not a true geometric thus it is more challenging to stitch. This state is one of the original 13 colonies.



New Jersey Quilt Patch

This patch was inspired by stitchers in New Jersey and comes from the New Jersey Quilt Patch. After all New Jersey is the garden state. It is stitched on #18 mono canvas incorporating Milanese, Amadeus, Jessica, Diagonal Mosaid and a diagonal 4 way continental. This design uses Rainbow Gallery, Splendor, Grandeur, Elegance, Neon Rays and Needle Necessities overdyed floss and mill hill beads.



New York Quilt Patch

The New York Quilt Patch uses Jean Hilton's Walneto Stitch along with a wide variety of threads. Caron Collection Impressions, Watercolors, Wildflowers and Soie Cristale are used, along with Rainbow Gallery's Splendor and Flair and Brown Paper Packa, Silk & Ivory. Two color ways are given on this pattern. This is another quilt patch in the U.S. series. It is a progression of color and stitches culminating into the bottom band which uses all the threads.



North Carolina Quilt Patch

The patch is taken from the North Carolina Star Quilt and stitched on #18 colored canvas with a darning pattern stitched onto the canvas. The majority of the patch is then stitched on top of the darning pattern. Seven different stitches are used including Amadeus, Dotted Swiss, Milanese, and basketweave. Threads include Splendor, Grandeur, Neon Rays, and Patina along with Needle Necessities overdyed floss, perle #12 and Kreinik Braid #12.



Philadelphia Quilt Patch

This quilt patch is taken from the quilt pattern of the same name. In doing needlepoint or counted thread some artistic license is necessary. Eight different threads are used giving the stitcher wonderful colors to play with and great textures. Perle cotton, floss, Encore, Impressions, Neon Rays, Kreinik #4 braid, overdyed perle and overdyed floss are all incorporated. It is stitched on #18 colored canvas but could also be stitched as all the pattern on Davos or Aida.



Rhode Island Quilt Pach

This quilt patch uses Carron Collection, Watercolors, Wildflowers and Impressions. Rainbow Gallery's Hi Lights and Petite Very Velvet are also used to create a wonderful Quilt Patch. An additional colorway is given in the chart pack. This patch matches the other patches in size and is stitched on #18 mono canvas eggshell.



Savannah Quilt Patch

Stitched on # 18 victorian green mono canvas. Threads used are Splendor, Petite Very Velvet, Silk N. Colors, and floss. Stitches used are Nobucko, basketweave, couching, diagonal leaf, diamond ray and kennan. This quilt patch is another patch that is not a true geometric. Thus more challenging to stitch. This state is one of the original 13 colonies.



South Carolina Quilt Patch

Stitched on # 18 butter cream mono canvas. Threads used are Waterlillies, Kreinik Fine Braid, Flair and Splendor. Stitches used ar Amadeus, Web and the Oriental Stitch. It is a true geometric pattern. Another patter of the original 13 colonies.



Virigina Quilt Patch

This patch has 7 different stitches and 6 different threads. Finished design is approximately 6" x 6" and is stitched on colored canvas using Watercolors, Wildflowers, overdyed floss, overdyed perle, Flair and perle coton. This is an interesting design and a fun piece to stitch. Several colorways are given on the chart to stitch. It is stitched on #18 mono colored canvas.



West Virginia Quilt Patch

The West Virginia patch uses several of Jean Hilton's stitches, coils and waffle variations thus making it a very interesting and challenging patch to stitch. Two color ways are included in the chart pack. West Virginia is stitched on #18 mono colored canvas using Caron Collections, Impressions, Needle Necessities Overdyed floss, Rainbow Gallery's Elegance, Flair, Grandeur, Pebbly Perle along with Kreinik's #8 braid, Anchor or floss and Perle #8.
